When Word Documents Are Converted To PDF, the Embedded Links Are Not Converted
(Doc ID 471786.1)
Last updated on APRIL 10, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle WebCenter Content - Version 10.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Sometimes when a Word document is submitted to be converted to PDF, certain hyperlinks are not converted properly.
If the Word document has a hyperlink created by a hyperlink wizard that doesn't have the URL fully spelled out then it will not be processed at conversion time. On the other hand, if a URL address is listed on the Word document, then that one will get converted.
For an example, highlight the word Google and then use the hyperlink wizard within Word to make that a link to go to the Oracle website. Upon conversion this hyperlink will not be processed. On the other side put the full URL address on the document like http://www.oracle.com and then this will be converted correctly.
