Symptoms

An  HTTP connection error 401 is generated when a Partner Link is added that is associated to a Microsoft Biztalk server WSDL in a BPEL project in JDeveloper.  The WSDL is on a Microsoft Biztalk server and it requires authentication.  The authentication uses Active Directory (user id and password).

Steps To Reproduce:

  1. Create a BPEL project (Synchronous or Asynchronous)
  2. Add a new Partner Link
  3. In the WSDL File field use a URL for the WSDL location (this location needs to be authenticated)
  4. In the Properties tab, use httpUsername and httpPassword
