Enterprise User Security and OID Server Chaining Requires Read Access to Users Password Attribute

Symptoms

While implementing Enterprise User Security[EUS] with Oracle Internet Directory[OID], users imported from
Sun Java System Directory Server [also known as Sun One iPlanet] may fail with :
ORA-28274: No ORACLE password attribute corresponding to user nickname exists




Changes

OID server chaining is set up as described in Chapter 28 of Oracle Internet Directory Administrator's Guide 10g (10.1.4.0.1).

EUS is set up as per Chapter 3 of Oracle Database Enterprise User Administrator's Guide 10g Release 2
