OC4J Renames A Cookie to $OC4J_encoded_{cookie-name} When Value Contains a Space or Other Illegal Characters (Doc ID 473444.1)

Symptoms

After upgrading Oracle Application Server to 10.1.3.2 or 10.1.3.3,  cookies created by applications are being renamed by OC4J. OC4J renames cookies using a syntax as shown below causing issues for applications that need to read the cookie value.


"$OC4J_ENCODED_{cookie-name}"
