OracleAS 10.1.3 Fast Connection Failover Fills opmn.log with "SSL Handshake" or "ONSpmInfoUtil: no data!" errors (Doc ID 551083.1)

Symptoms

The following errors are repeatedly written to the opmn.log file in the OracleAS home:

.. [ons-secure] Connection 140,RAC-NODE1.mydomain,6200 SSL handshake failed
.. [ons-secure] Connection 143,RAC-NODE2.mydomain,6200 SSL handshake failed

By default SSL is enabled for the OPMN notification server in opmn.xml

 


The following errors are written repeatedly instead

... [ons-special] ONSpmInfoUtil: no data!
... [ons-special] ONSpmInfoUtil: no data!

How to avoid these errors?

Oracle AS 10g Release 3 (10.1.3.x) has been successfully configured for Fast Connection Failure against a remote RAC 10.2 database.
