The following errors are repeatedly written to the opmn.log file in the OracleAS home:

.. [ons-secure] Connection 140,RAC-NODE1.mydomain,6200 SSL handshake failed
.. [ons-secure] Connection 143,RAC-NODE2.mydomain,6200 SSL handshake failed

By default SSL is enabled for the OPMN notification server in opmn.xml

<port local="6103" remote="6203" request="6006"/>
<ssl enabled="true" wallet-file="$ORACLE_HOME\opmn\conf\ssl.wlt\default"/>

If SSL for the notification server is disabled in opmn.xml

<port local="6103" remote="6203" request="6006"/>
<ssl enabled="false" wallet-file="$ORACLE_HOME\opmn\conf\ssl.wlt\default"/>

The following errors are written repeatedly instead

... [ons-special] ONSpmInfoUtil: no data!
... [ons-special] ONSpmInfoUtil: no data!

How to avoid these errors?

Oracle AS 10g Release 3 (10.1.3.x) has been successfully configured for Fast Connection Failure against a remote RAC 10.2 database.
