Content Folios Check In Problem : Mandatory Field Not Working (Doc ID 558665.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 08, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Content - Version 10.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After defining the folio template, all slots are mandatory. This problem occurred during check in, the check in  process still succeeded, although there are empty slots on the folio.

For example, create a Folio Template with two slots. One slot is a document, the other is empty. Set the config entry Allowempty to FALSE on this slot.

Save the template, then create a New Folio/Advanced Folio, select that new template that you just created and then press the Load folio button.

On the Edit Folio page save the Folio - even with the second undefined(Empty) slot still empty - you are able to save the Folio. The undefined(Empty) slot has the Allow empty Attribute set to False.
