Last updated on FEBRUARY 16, 2017
Applies to:Oracle HTTP Server - Version 10.1.2.0.2 to 10.1.3.4.0 [Release AS10gR2 to AS10gR3]
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Microsoft Internet Explorer
The objective is to customize the error pages returned by HTTP Server - in particular HTTP-404 and HTTP-500.
For example, the following directives have been added to the httpd.conf
ErrorDocument 500 /errordocs/errorpage-2.html
When testing by issuing a request to force one of the above errors, the browser still returns the standard error e.g request a non-existent document, the standard 404 error is returned rather than the custom error page.
MS Internet Explorer may be the client browser
The application generating the error is fully or partly deployed in an OC4J instance e.g
- Custom J2EE application
- Forms / Reports / Discoverer Services
- Single Sign-On (OC4J_SECURITY)
