Only One Single AD User Is Unable To Login To Portal / Same User Is Able To Login To OIDDAS And /pls/orasso URLs Ok (Doc ID 567659.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 31, 2019

Applies to:

Portal - Version 10.1.2.0.0 and later
Oracle Internet Directory - Version 9.0.4 to 10.1.4 [Release 10gR1 to 10gR3]
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Oracle Internet Directory - Version: 9.0.4 to 10.1.4
This problem can occur on any platform.

Symptoms

All Active Directory (AD) synchronizing with Oracle Internet Directory (OID) can successfully:
- ldapbind to OID and authenticate via the external authentication plugin to AD
- login to oiddas and pls/orasso URLs

Only one single AD sync'd user is unable to login to the Portal url only.  This same AD user is able to ldabpind to OID via AD ext auth plug in, and login to oiddas and sso without problems.

There are no errors at all shown for the problem AD user after attempting to login to Portal.
At the bottom of the browser window, the status bar seems to keep waiting on
http://<HOSTNAME:PORT>/pls/orasso/orasso.wwsso_app_admin.ls_login...

Tried clearing browser cache and cookies, and from other PC clients, but same problem persists for the one AD user only.
