Error "Unable to convert. Native application reported: ''Permission denied"" When Converting Word to PDF (Doc ID 604098.1)

Symptoms

The PDF converter is failing when using 'application/msword' as the file format conversion when set in the Configuration Manager's file formats section.  The error that was thrown was:
