JDeveloper Generates the Same SQL Object Type for Two Different DB Adapters (Doc ID 605079.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 06, 2008

Applies to:

Oracle(R) BPEL Process Manager - Version:
This problem can occur on any platform.

-- Problem Statement:

You have two BPEL processes that use a DB Adapter to interact with Oracle E-business Suite.  Each one is using a procedure from the same database schema.  Let's say  BPEL_A calls stored procedure PROC_A from schema APPS and  BPEL_B calls  procedure PROC_B from schema APPS also.  When you look at the SQL scripts generated by JDeveloper, you will find that both procedures are referring to an object with the same name but have different types.  When you run both projects, only one of them works.

-- Steps To Reproduce:

1 - Create a BPEL project.
2 - Add to the project, a database adapter component.
3 - Select a database connection.
4 - Select the option: "Call a stored procedure or function".
5 - Fill in the schema and click on "browse".
6 - Select a procedure, click on OK and then Finish.
7 - Repeat the steps 1 to 5 again, creating a new BPEL project and at step 6 select a different procedure, click on OK and then Finish.
8 - Save, deploy and run each of the BPEL processes.
