This document contains tips to improve JDBC performance.

Scope

This document is intended for developers who are looking for ways to improve performance when using the JDBC drivers.

Several tips to improve the performance of the JDBC drivers include
the following:

- Appropriate Java threading
- Connection pooling
- Set AutoCommit off
- Batching for multiple inserts
- Prefetching rows
- Specifying column types
- Suppressing database metadata TABLE_REMARKS columns
