Conversion Error When Checking In Files Having Uppercase Filename Extension (Doc ID 727438.1)

Last updated on APRIL 10, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Content - Version 10.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After checking in a document, the Content Information (Doc Info) page shows the error "Conversion Error: Native content was removed before it could be converted."  The document remains in status 'GenWWW'.

This can happen if a filename has the file extension in uppercase letters, e.g. "Example.GIF".  If the file extension is renamed to lowercase letters, e.g. "Example.gif" , the check-in and thumbnail generation succeed.
