OVD 10g Local Store Adapter (LSA) Does Not Show The Subtree DNs In OVD Manager LDAP Browser / Client View (Doc ID 728634.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 29, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Virtual Directory - Version 10.1.4.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

A Local Store Adapter was created through Oracle Virtual Directory (OVD) Manager, but it does not show any entries under it when checking via the OVD Manager browser.

For example:
LSA is defined with root:

dc=<DOMAIN>,dc=com

Create two LDAP Adapters with the following roots :

cn=<OID_CONTAINER>,cn=Users,dc=<DOMAIN>,dc=com
cn=<AD_CONTAINER>,cn=Users,dc=<DOMAIN>,dc=com

Under Client View in OVD Manager browser, the root "dc=<DOMAIN>,dc=com" is displayed but no entries are shown under it

But, an ldapsearch with -s (subtree) option is able to retrieve the entries:

ldapsearch -h <OVD_HOSTNAME> -p <OVD_PORT> -D "OVD_ADMIN_USER" -w <PASSWORD> -b "dc=<DOMAIN>,dc=com" -s sub "objectclass=*"
