Unable to Modify Indexes Within the IPM Search Results List

When running a search and selecting a hit from the results list, the "Modify index" button is not greyed out and appears available, but on clicking the button nothing happens and the dialog box doesn't open. This is occurring despite the relevant users/groups having the correct permission to do so.
