OVD 10g Join View Data Is Not Returned From ldapsearch (Doc ID 731793.1)

An ldapsearch of Oracle Virtual Directory (OVD) which uses a join adapter only returns entries from the primary adapter
The information is correctly displayed in the OVD Manager Browser.
The primary adapter and joined adapter base are both set to:

ou=<OU2>,ou=<OU1>,o=<COMPANY>,c=<COUNTRY>
The ldapsearch results in this vde.log message, showing that the entry from the joined adapter is suppressed:

[2008-06-12 08:24:32,616] DEBUG - SearchOperation: Duplicate entry suppressed for cn=<USERNAME>,ContainerName=Users, Name=<NAME>,o=<COMPANY>,c=<COUNTRY> [WorkThread# 1]
