First ESB Asynchronous Endpoint Operation Fails, Subsequent Endpoint Operation Does Not Get Executed (Doc ID 734049.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 11, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Enterprise Service Bus - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

-- Problem Statement:

In the following sample ESB testcase:

Routing Service   ----(Asynchronous Routing)--------> Endpoint Operation #1
                             ----(Asynchronous Routing)--------> Endpoint Operation #2

Both Endpoint calls are setup to be Asynchronous within the Routing Service Routing Rules

If Endpoint Operation #1 fails the second operation never gets executed.

It may be expected that since both Routing Rules are asynchronous Endpoint Operation #2 should still get executed, but this is not the case.
