Unable To Undeploy / Delete A Mapping File From The OVD 10g Server (Doc ID 734878.1)

Last updated on MARCH 18, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Virtual Directory - Version 10.1.4.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Deployed a mapping file to the Oracle Virtual Directory (OVD) Server version 10.1.4.2.0, and also attached / associated it with an ldap adapter, as per instructions in <Note 420147.1>.

Mapping file is no longer needed, so trying to delete / remove the mapping file, including undeploying it from the server.

In OVD Manager (OVDM), able to click on the adapter > Plugin tab > highlight the mapping and click Delete, then Save all to server, and the mapping is removed from the ldap adapter ok.

As there is no undeploy from server type option, next tried:
Engine > Mapping > highlight the mapping, right click and deleted it.
Also did a Save all to server.

However, when going back into any adapter > Plugin tab > New Mapping button, when clicking on the
pull down menu and/or Select From Server button, still seeing the unwanted mapping/plugin listed as a selection.
