Cannot find server or DNS Error when Searching, Check-in or Browse. Error: Page Cannot be Displayed

Information in this document applies to any platform.
The Content Server interface seems to work normally. However, an error appears which says:
The page cannot be displayed.
This error is returned when the Search, Browse or New Check-in menu options are selected. At the bottom of the error page, the reason is "Cannot find server or DNS error."
