Symptoms

Upon web browsing to the Content Server user interface (even the static portal.htm index file) or Site Studio web site pages, severe slowness or 404 (File Not Found) error is experienced.

Socket-level access (not through the web server) to Content Server, via such applications as a portal server using the Content Integration Suite (CIS), responds normally.




Changes

Concurrent session browser access has increased, either through user load or web services application access, such as when using SOAP requests.

Also, you may recently have switched from using Apache 1.3.x to using Apache 2.0.xx.x.
