Applies to:Oracle Fusion Middleware - Version 10.1.2.0.2 to 10.1.4.0.1 [Release AS10gR2]
Oracle Fusion Middleware High Availability - Version 10.1.2.0.2 to 10.1.4.0.1 [Release AS10gR2]
Oracle Application Server 10g Enterprise Edition - Version: 10.1.2.0.2 to 10.1.4.0.1
OracleAS 10g (10.1.2.0.2) Infrastructure or Oracle Identity Management 10.1.4.0.1 is being installed onto the shared disk of a MS Windows 2003 Cold Failover Cluster.
The install fails during the configuration assistant stage. The OC4J Instance Configuration assistant throws the error,"No buffer space available (maximum connections reached)", similar to the error stack:
oracle.ias.opmn.optic.OpticBadConnectException: Error while reading OPMN response headers: No buffer space available (maximum connections reached?): recv failed
The problem is specific to installing OracleAS on the shared disk. An install on the local disk of the machine works fine.
