OWA_SEC Functions Do Not Return Anything or Fail with ORA-01403 Error (Doc ID 743891.1)

This problem can occur on any platform.

Symptoms

When mod_plsql Basic authentication is used, calling the following OWA_SEC functions:

does not return anything.

Furthermore, owa_sec.get_client_ip fails with an ORA-01403 error.

Errors similar to the following are displayed in the HTTP Server error_log file:

[date time] [notice] [client <ip>] [ecid: <ecid>]
mod_plsql: ORA-1403 Execute ORA-01403: no data found
ORA-06512: at "MYSCHEMA.MYPACKAGE", line 8
ORA-06512: at line 25
