Purpose

The purpose of this FAQ is to provide some insight on date formatting in Outside In Viewer Technology (OIVT) or Outside In ActiveX Viewer (OIX). Note that some of this data may be relevant to the indexing and Export APIs as well, when referencing specific option settings, or describing issues.
