Last updated on AUGUST 14, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Outside In Technology - Version 8.2.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

Outside In can return a wide variety of error codes and exceptions as it processes real world documents.  These error codes and exceptions can be meaningless to the average user.  This document attempts to explain which of these error codes indicate potentially unsafe failures have occurred.

Scope

This article is intended for anyone who uses Outside In in a process isolated environment and is making decisions on when to kill the Outside In process and restart.  A secondary goal of this document is to provide a more detailed explanation into some of the Outside In error messages.

This document is not comprehensive about all Outside In error codes, and is actually limited in scope in these initial stages of this document.
