Webgates Become Unresponsive Producing Error HTTP-500. Oblix_OBWebGate_AuthnAndAuthz Error Displayed on Apache Server Console and in WebGate oblog.log (Doc ID 749890.1)

Symptoms

Random outages of OAM-protected applications that have been upgraded to WebGate 10.1.4.2 are occurring.

HTTP-500 Internal Server error is displayed in the user's browser. The Apache server console and WebGate oblog.log show Oblix_OBWebGate_AuthnAndAuthz error message repeated, as shown in the example below.

Restarting the Apache WebGate resolves the issue until next occurrence.

The problem only reproduces when Apache is using worker MPM on a multi-CPU server.
