LDAP: error code 32 - 0000208D: NameErr: When Provisioning OIM User to AD (Doc ID 750923.1)

Symptoms

-- Problem Statement:

When provisioning to Active Directory using OIM AD connector, an LDAP 32 exception is thrown if the there is special character like hyphen (-) in the Root Context value of the AD IT resource. Below is the exception seen in the log:

DEBUG [OIMCP.ADCS] tcADUtilLDAPController::createObject() Enter 
ERROR [OIMCP.ADCS] The error occured in
    tcADUtilLDAPController::createObject():[LDAP: error code 32 - 0000208D: NameErr: DSID-031001CD,
    problem 2001 (NO_OBJECT), data 0, best match of:
      'OU=<OrgUnit>,DC=<Company>,DC=<TLD>' 
ERROR [OIMCP.ADCS] Name Not Found Exception encountered
    Name Not Found:[LDAP: error code 32 - 0000208D: NameErr: DSID-031001CD, problem 2001 (NO_OBJECT),
    data 0, best match of: 
      'OU=<OrgUnit>,DC=<Company>,DC=<TLD>' 


-- Steps To Reproduce:

  1. Install the OIM AD base connector version 9.1.0
  2. Upgrade the Connector to OIM 9.1.0.1 version using <Patch 7553764>
  3. Provision a user from OIM to AD.
