Symptoms
Per the Oracle Access Manager Installation Guide 10g (10.1.4.0.1) > Section 10.11 Extending Directory Schemas, it is necessary to extend the OVD schema for use with OAM, as follows:
$ cd <IDENTITY_SERVER_INSTALL_DIRECTORY>/identity/oblix/tools/DNConversionToolkit/oblix/tools/DataAnyWhere/OblixUserSchema
$ ldapmodify -h <OVD_HOSTNAME> -p <OVD_PORT> -D "<OVD_ADMIN_USER>" -w <PASSWORD> -a -f VDE_user_schema_add.ldif
modifying entry cn=schema
modifying entry cn=schema
...
However, the VDE schema is not updated --
- The oblix objectclasses are not visible in OVD Manager. Check this as follows:
In OVD Manager, on the left side go to Server Navigator > right-click on the OVD server > select Reload From Server > <OVD_SERVER> > Engine > click Schema
The related attributes are not displayed on the right side - The objectclasses and attributes are not listed in an OVD schema dump. Check this as follows:
ldapsearch -h <OVD_HOSTNAME> -p <OVD_PORT> -D "<OVD_ADMIN_USER>" -w <PASSWORD> -b "cn=schema" -s base -v "objectclass=*" > <FILENAME>
