Accessing Portal Pages In A Web Browser Fails With Error Message 'Page Metadata Could Not Be Obtained From The Portal Database' After Configuration of SSL Accelerator Device (Doc ID 753823.1)

Symptoms

Unable to access Oracle Portal 10.1.2.0.2 through Netscaler SSL Accelerator Load balancer. The Oracle HTTP Server's  welcome page is accessible. The Portal Welcome Page is not accessible. The Parallel Page E ngine's application.log shows the following error :

08/11/25 18:45:24 portal: id=84575981065,1 ContentFetcher Unexpected Exception Request Failed:oracle.webdb.dispatcher.DispatcherException: I/O Error dispatching request

The test URLs are working properly :

Parallel Page Engine : https://servername:8066/portal/page prints 'PPE is working'
JNI Gateway : https://servername:8066/pls/portal/htp.p?cbuf=test prints 'test'
