When running Content Server on a Microsoft Windows machine. Content Server starts successfully as an application when running IdcServer.exe from the <Content_Server>\bin directory. However, when starting Content Server as a service (either from the Windows Services console or through the Content Server Admin Server), Content Server fails to start.
I followed the directions in <Note 754738.1>, and created a debug.log file. This log file contains the lines:
This indicates that the Content Server service is timing out.
