"Java heap space java.lang.OutOfMemoryError" for UCM with DB2 Database (Doc ID 756520.1)

Symptoms

When syncing table definitions from Configuration Manager, the following error occurs:

Event generated by user 'sysadmin' at host 'localhost'. System code execution error.
intradoc.common.ServiceException:
Java heap space java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space [ Details ]
An error has occurred. The stack trace below shows more
information.

Caused by: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space


Steps To Reproduce:

  1. Restart the Content Server.
  2. Open Configuration Manager. 
  3. Open the tables tab. 
  4. Edit a table and Synchronize its definition.

The Java process will just keep increasing for each table that is synced. The memory does not get released.
