SSL Authenticated EUS Login Fails with ORA-01017 in an OID 10g Environment

SSL Authenticated EUS login fails with ORA-1017. This error occurs to some of the users probably not to all. This can be either an intermittent or a consistent issue.

28033 event trace(alter system set events '28033 trace name context forever, level 9') taken at the database end for the failure connection shows that the certificate search has failed:

KZLD_ERR: failed the search 1.
number of entries: 0
KZLD_ERR: failed to locate user matching the cert.
. . .
. . .
KZLD_ERR: user's DN is not under any realm user search base.
KZLD is doing LDAP unbind
. . .
. . .


OID server log shows that it has failed to receive the certificate from database:

You are configuring EUS SSL authentication and you notice that few certificate users connection fails to login to the database.
