Symptoms

The CheckoutAndOpenInNative component is installed and enabled on the Universal Content Management (UCM) system.

 

On Microsoft Windows Vista Client Machines running Office 2007, when clicking on the Check Out And Open (COAO) link to open a Microsoft Office Document, nothing appears to happen.  When clicking the link a second time, the Microsoft Office file opens, but it is in read-only mode and users are unable to edit the file.
