Context Root Still Referenced Even After Undeployment of Web Application in Oracle Application Server 10.1.3.4 (Doc ID 763232.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 13, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Containers for J2EE - Version 10.1.3.4.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
This problem can occur on any platform.

Symptoms

Oracle Application Server 10.1.3.4 contains two web applications deployed to it, application A with context root /itc, and application B with context root /itc/public.
This functions correctly and with no issue.

The trouble arises when testing the rollback of the new application "B". It would be expected that with application B uninstalled, application A should service any \itc\public\*.* requests.
This is not the case, and there is still some reference on the application server to have application B service this request.
Accessing http://<host>:<port>/itc/public still points to application B to service this request, even
though application B has been undeployed and even the oc4j container where it was deployed deleted.
