Symptoms

When using the Web SDK method ModifyIndexes to change an index value on an index where the column name has been updated within Search Builder, the index value does not get changed. There is no error reported in either the SDK or the IPM Service logs.

The issue can be reproduced under the following scenario:

  1. Start the IPM Production Client.
  2. Open the Search Builder tool.
  3. Select an application.
  4. Change the column header name of an index. (i.e. Change AcctNum to AcctNumber)
  5. Execute a Web SDK application which calls ModifyIndexes to change the AcctNumber index value.
  6. Notice the method is executed without any errors.
  7. Upon viewing the IPM Service logs, notice the Document Index Server reports the message "Received Modify Indexes message" however, the value was not changed.
