This issue affects users attempting to create a new LDAP connection.
Symptoms
-- Problem Statement:
In trying to create a LDAP database connection in SQL Developer 1.5.3, an error is raised.
Error
Status Failure -null
-- Steps To Reproduce:
1) Create a new database connection, providing:
- Connection Name
- Username
- Password
- Check "Save Password" (recommended)
- Set Database tab to Oracle
- Set Role to default
- Set Connection Type to LDAP
- LDAP Server
Hit the Load button to retreive a list of available database services. The error will be raised.
-- Business Impact:
Cannot establish connectivity and authentication in SQL Developer through LDAP.
Changes
SQL Developer upgraded to 1.5.3.
