RP/TUX 8.0 - TUX 8 on DYNIX/ptx 4.6.1 needs "-m1" as an option for booting ISL (Doc ID 769392.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 14, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Tuxedo / Tuxedo / 8.0
Information in this document applies to any platform

Goal

Tuxedo 8 on DYNIX/ptx 4.6.1, ISL needs "-m1" to boot.

The fix is reporting CORBA on DYNIX/ptx using semaphore for signal level notification, just like other none-AIX unix
platforms. But note that:
  sem_t x;
  sem_init(&x,0,1);
will hang on DYNIX/ptx 4.6.1, and "x" should be cleaned before inited:
  sem_t x;
  memset(&x,0,sizeof(sem_t));
  sem_init(&x,0,1)
