eLink OSITP 1.3 - Resources are not getting cleaned up (Doc ID 769524.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 30, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Tuxedo Mainframe Adapter for OSI TP - Version 8.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Executing a test program with NT as the client and AIX as the server, the program issues the following functions in a
loop of several thousand iterations:

     tpconnect
     tpsend
     tpdiscon
     tx_rollback

If one or two instances of the program are executed, there are no problems. If three or more instances are executed concurrently, the server side appears to slow down and
eventually hang after 20 to 30 minutes of execution. The ULOG indicates there is a system limit that has been exceeded.
Prior to the slow down there are no ULOG log entries. If eLink is shutdown and then restarted, the errors stop and the programs execute normally for about another 30 minutes, and then the slow down and hang recur. 105322.TuxMachineName!GWOSITP.xxx: gtrid x0 x3bd42eeb x19c:LIBGW_CAT:1083: ERROR: Conversational connect not forwarded to remote site - TPELIMIT - a system limit has been reached
