Goal
PRODUCT: Tuxedo VERSION: 8.0 PLATFORM: Windows 2000 SP2 The installation of Tuxedo 8 patches requires that any currently installed Tuxedo patch be uninstalled before the new patch can be applied.
The patch unistallation will fail if the uninstall program detects that a Tuxedo resource is in use.
Sometimes the uninstall program detects that libengine.dll is loaded, even though all Tuxedo resources have been properly shutdown.
Investigation with programs such as listdlls and Process Explorer may show that libengine.dll is being held by Windows Explorer, even though all Tux related resources are shutdown.
The reason for this is that when the windows Control Panel is opened, libengine.dll is loaded due to the existence of beaadmin.cpl in the winnt\system32 directory.
The beadmin utility that appears in the control panel is used for administering the Tuxedo product environment.
