Platforms:
    Windows NT/2000 
    Solaris 2.7/8 
    HP-UX 11.0/11i 
    Tru64 5.0a/5.1 
    IBM AIX 4.3.3
    both 32- and 64-bit versions if available for a given platform

Problem:  tmshutdown without "-w" or "-k" hangs indefinitely when one of the servers hangs during termination.
