RP/TUX 6.5, TUX 6.51, TUX 8.1 - File descriptors above 19 are not released in spawned servers (Doc ID 772161.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 19, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle Tuxedo / Tuxedo / 6.5, 6.51, 8.1
Information in this document applies to any platform

When dynamic spawning of servers is used in Tuxedo 6.5 on Solaris 8, any file descriptors above 19 are inherited by a
child server process from its parent server process, and are thus unavailable for the child server process's own use.
Only file descriptors 0 through 19 are properly closed by Tuxedo in the spawned child server process.
