RP/TUX 8.0, TUX 8.1 - Not able to execute service from local domain (Doc ID 772216.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 19, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle Tuxedo / Tuxedo / 8.0, 8.1
Information in this document applies to any platform

There are 3 Domains (hubstrd1, hubstrd2 and hubstrd3) . Customer wants to call the service TOUPPER running in hubstrd3
(the only simpserv.exec is running there) from a native client running on hubstrd1. Therefore he needs to import in
hubstrd2 the service from hubstrd3 and export it at the same time in hubstrd2, to have it imported again in hubstrd1.

One example for the architecture with 3 applications could be : an application (APPL1) in a dmz (= before the
firewall) connects to a front-end Tuxedo application (APPL2) (behind the firewall) which is connected at his turn to
several back-end Tuxedo applications (APPL3).

The native client running in hubstrd1 is returning a TPENOENT on a tpcall("TOUPPER", ...). When we change
the LDOM in the DM_REMOTE_SERVICES section of APPL2 into "hubstrd2_dom1" (instead of dom2) the tpcall is
returning ok.
