Product: Tuxedo 6.5 RP362 Platform: Solaris 8 Application servers can deadlock while being restarted. In a current case, a deadlock condition occurs in a system library on Solaris 8, causing the application sever process to hang even before tpsrvinit(). The hanging server causes its corresponding restartsrv process to also hang because of the synchronous way the two processes interact through a pipe. And because Tuxedo only allows one restartsrv process to be active at a time, no other application servers can be restarted from that point on.
