RP/TUX 8.0, TUX 8.1 - /WS tpinit() fails when app. password is NULL (zero length) (Doc ID 772986.1)

Goal

Customer is using USER_AUTH authentication level and wishes to keep the application password NULL (zero length). While
this works for a native client, or with Tuxedo 7.1, tpinit() fails with TPEPERM and the following messages are logged:

135051.lcdux8!?proc.289776.1.0: GP_CAT:1567: ERROR: Unable to DES encrypt data (35/0)
135051.lcdux8!?proc.289776.1.0: LIBTUX_CAT:6243: ERROR: Unable to establish security context. Error code 70,
minor_status 1073989024
135051.lcdux8!?proc.289776.1.0: LIBWSC_CAT:2005: ERROR: gssapi function returned failure -3003
