As of Tuxedo 8.0, it is possible to analyze the flow of a transaction even when the transaction infects multiple Tuxedo domains. This can be done by activating the Domains AUDITLOG feature and observing the mapping of GTRIDs between the local and remote transactions. This feature, however, does not currently allow to fully analyze the transactions until their completion. That's because the messages pertaining to the commit protocol (prepare, commit, rollback) are not recorded in the AUDITLOG. A customer has experienced frequent problems with multi-domain transactions which reach the Prepared state in Oracle (xa_prepare branch is OK), but the commit or rollback either does not arrive or arrives much later. It is therefore requested that the AUDITLOG information additionally includes the commit protocol messages (prepare, commit, rollback, and their acknowledgements) with the GTRIDs involved. This would allow a full analysis of problematic multi-domain transactions.
