The size of a /Q message in a queue space appears to increase when it is repeatedly enqueued and dequeued -- whether by a client or a server -- even though the message size is not explicitly altered. For example, - client1 enqueues message to DispatchQ - client2 dequeues message from DispatchQ, examines it, and enqueues it The message is never altered; however its size (TA_MSGSIZE) increases. This behavior occurs if SECURITY=USER_AUTH but not if SECURITY=NONE.
