RP/TUX 8.0 / Jolt 8.0 -RP279, the character I with a tilde isn't correctly returned

Spanish often uses the character I in upper case with a tilde (see file Spanish.java).  

With Tux/Jolt 8.0-RP237, this character is correctly returned to client.  However, with the latest patch (RP279), this
character is not correctly returned (except when it's the last characater in the string).

Testcase is on \\supportprod\attachments\507xxx\507638, and is called spanish.zip.

It also contains the output of the client (result.txt) and the ulog, where we see that this character is OK on server
