RP/TUX 8.1 RP114/TUX 9.1 - DCOM+ multi-contexted&multi-threaded client will hang at tpcall() on one thread when the other thread is terminating with tpterm (Doc ID 776083.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 19, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle Tuxedo / Tuxedo / 8.1,9.1
Information in this document applies to any platform

Goal

Tux8.1rp114>DCOM+ multi-contexted&multi-threaded client will hang at tpcall() on one thread when the other
thread is terminating with tpterm. The problem is replicated on Windows2000 platform with Tux8.1rp114 and the latest
rp145.
Some interesting experiment results:
- The problem does not exist with a similar(same) standalone multi-contexted&multi-threaded native Tuxedo client.

- The problem does not exist if the DCOM+ multi-contexted&multi-threaded client is using the latest patched
Tux6.5CTS rp459
- The problem does not exist if it is earlier version of COM multi-contexted&multi-threaded client (which only
runs on WindowsNT) with both Tux6.5CTS and Tux8.1
