RP/TUX 8.1/TUX 9.1 - DEBUG: JSH crashes with JOLTDBG=20 (Doc ID 776936.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 19, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle Tuxedo / Tuxedo / 8.1,9.1
Information in this document applies to any platform

Goal

The debug version of JSH crashes at line 3392 in jwshunw.c (RP214):

    	JOLTDBG(10,("> process_identity_propagation(version %ld, principal_name %s, cntxt %ld)", version,
pname, cntxt));

I believe the statement should be:

  	JOLTDBG(10,("> process_identity_propagation(version %ld, principal_name %s, cntxt %ld)", version,
pname?pname:"NULL", cntxt));

That is, if pname is NULL, then some other string should be passed.

Environment: Tux 8.1 RP214 on Solaris 32-bit with JOLTDBG=20.

Note: Discovered this problem while experimenting with a Jolt debug build. Although this discovery is not related to
a customer case, it would seem that this bug would prohibit effective use of a Tux 8.1 debug build for Jolt.
