Goal

The built-in iconv (character code conversion) has been changed with RP044 by following CR:

044. CR310343 ICU enhancement

However the ICU has no compatibility with giconv.

The character set is smaller than GA version.

For example, SHIFT_JISX0213 and EUC-JISX0213 (that is extended kanji character set for each kanji code).

After this change, if that character set is used, the following message appears.


GP_CAT:1577: ERROR: SHIFT_JISX0213 not found in list of valid encoding names


Before RP044, it works well.
