Goal
DESCRIPTION: When the MessageQ environment has been shut down, a program attempting to send a message aborts with the error: "%PAMS-F-PAMSDOWN, MessageQ group is down - COM Server has exited" Customer does not want the application to abort, but have the send message api return an error status so they can handle the problem transparently to the user. Couldn't find in the documentation anything about trapping this situation (which could happen when sending a message, or locating a queue by name). Is it possible to trap this and return an error code that can be handled in the application? CONFIGURATION: MessageQ 5.0 RP32 OpenVMS 7.3
