RP/TUX 10.0 - build command still links /usr/lib/libcrypt.a on 64bit Linux

When building application, /usr/lib/libcrypt.a is linked to each build command.
/usr/lib/libcrypt.a is 32bit library, however x86 64bit binary links it.

buildserver -v -f simpserv.c -o simpserv -s TOUPPER
cc    -I$TUXDIR/include -o simpserv BS-25f2.c  -L${TUXDIR}/lib simpserv.c  -ltux -lbuft   -lfml -lfml32 -lengine -ldl
-lpthread /usr/lib/libcrypt.a

Tuxedo 10.0 
RedHat 5.0 x86_64
